This week's update!
3 new recipes and my weekly meal plan + grocery list (links at bottom)
I feel horribly sorry for the delay that has occurred today. Every week, I try my very best to get my substack out on time, but occasionally I have the more than crazy week that blows it all out of the water. The restaurant has been getting busier again which makes work that much more consuming, and with my boyfriend visiting and his unlimited energy- my week was very action-packed. Showing him around London, doing my shifts at work, recipe testing for Prague, filming cooking videos, seeing friends, and writing Substack got a little overwhelming this week and with a double shift on Sunday, I was just unable to get it out in time.
But, here we are! A new week and a new me, with a renewed sense of time management and zest for life (which will promptly be crushed by the lack of consecutive days off in a row this week). It’s a tough rota, with a double shift scheduled for Valentine’s Day (and we’re already triple booked… LOL). BUT, no complaining here as I’m forever grateful for this platform, for my friends, for my job, and for my life. It can feel easy to let everything consume you and trust me, I’ve had a good few cries lately, but it’s the getting up that matters, and trust me, I’ve been getting up ;)
Here’s what I have for you today, unfortunately, there’s no restaurant review as I cooked for Darius a lot this week BUT, they are VERY good recipes in my opinion.
I hope you all enjoy it!
Your dedication is inspiring, but don’t forget to be kind to yourself, too! It’s completely normal to have delays when you’re juggling so much (esp with the passion and drive that you have). Take the time you need—we’ll always be here to support you, whenever (and whatever) you’re able to share. 🩵🩷❤️
